We can all agree that 2021 was a year. Yup, and it felt like it was a mite longer than a year.
COVID ebbed and flowed, and for photographers, that meant a lot of work – outside for the most part. We did a bit of indoor work towards the end of the year but the latest variant put a quick end to that.
As most amateur photogs, I did a bit of everything for clients: weddings, headshots, some boudoir, and of course a lot of cosplay.
Here are photos from every one of my photoshoots this year (I hope I didn’t miss any). Enjoy.
See you all in 2022.
Most photos taken with Fuji XT-3; a few set were done with Canon R5.

All Photos from the Ottawa minicon are up, and emails have been sent.
If you did not get your email, please check your SPAM folder, or let me know.
If you have not yet paid, no worries: your photos are good to – just need to confirm payment.
Currently we have no bouncebacks from wrong email addresses, so they should all be out there.
Editing took considerably longer than I expected because… the background was terrible. Not going to do that again. Don’t know what kind of background we’ll use next time, but it won’t be that. You live and you learn!
Photos from 2019 Ottawa Comiccon are all done!
We took over 2,000 photos, and 970 were chosen to be edited.
If you have any issues with how your photos were finished, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
This OCC was our best ever. Next… Montreal Comiccon!
Photos taken at this convention will be in the folders below – Dropbox for the high res images, and Facebook for selected images in a shareable size.

As in previous years, we are neighbouring with Grendel Design and Daley Kreations, and also with new neighbours On Scene FX, Adam Tupper – Art, and the Feminine Emporium.
We are pretty much right in the middle of the convention hall. Look for our huge photo umbrella, or for Grendel’s super colourful furniture and art setup. Our prices are still holding: $20 for a short studio session, and you get to choose 3 images that will be finished and uploaded to Dropbox in the following week or so.
We shoot tethered, which means you see the images on a big screen as we take them. No more guessing what you look like for weeks and months after the photoshoot!Basic special effects are included in the price, but note that we are NOT a green screen outfit, so it’s up front effects only, like lights, lightsabers, smoke, that kind of thing.
We charge $10 extra for more involved photoshop work, like duplicating a comic book cover, or replacing the background. Ask and we’ll talk about it! We also charge $10 for a 4×6 print, done onsite while you wait.
Check out our Facebook page for more info about this, and other conventions, or look at our events page for specifics. The link to get your photos from this event will appear below when the event is live.
If you’re looking for the photo links to older events on Dropbox, you might find that they aren’t working.
Relax, the photos are all still there, but in order to make sense of the thousands of folders in there, I reclassified them by year, which broke the links.
If you want access to these older images (2015 and older), just drop me a line and I’ll send you the new link.
The Facebook links, as far as I know, will still work just fine.
CAPE – Cornwall and Area Pop Event
CAPE was awesome. Kudos to Carol and Randy for putting together a first class event. See you next year!

Cosplayers, if you are going to Ottawa Comiccon, and you want some free photos… drop me a line.
We noticed that our business is much, much better when cosplayers actively seek out customers and direct them to our booth for a photoshoot. I’m going to reach out to some cosplayers that I know to see if they would like to exchange free photo shoots for a little help handing out flyers at OCC, but if you are going to OCC, have a nice cosplay, and want to work something out with me… drop me a line! And of course, I’m always offering revenue sharing if you get pics taken in my booth with members of the general public.
