My first Comicon. My goal was to go out there, be the 9th Doctor, and meet my heroes (Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day, in no particular order), and take LOTS of pictures. After two days, all of my goals were met. Starry-eye and unusually tongue-tied, I met both, got photographed with them, and got their autographs. Wil and Felicia are extremely down to earth and approachable. I was the 9th Doctor, and although there must have been 100 other Doctors onsite, I was the only 9th. I took a LOT of photos. I took just under 1,000 files off my camera when all was said and done, but that’s only about 500 pics because I shoot RAW and JPG simultaneously, which generates double the number of files to download. On Day 2, I brought my daughter Catherine and some of her friends out to the Con, and I owe Catherine thanks for reminding me about the Dr. Who – Who’s 50? panel at the end of the day. It was FANTASTIC!
Here are a few of my favorite shots, in no particular order (click here to view these images on Facebook, where it’s easier on you):
