Bus Tour in Newfoundland and Labrador
Last year, my mother mentioned she wanted to go to Newfoundland and Labrador, and thought a bus tour might be the way to do it. She was 84 at the time and no longer wanted to do a self-directed sort of holiday like she and my step-dad had done almost ten years before in New Zealand.
So my wife and I started looking for tour companies in Newfoundland and Labrador, and the one that kept popping up was McCarthy's Party, so we went with them. 12 days across the whole island from Deer Lake (there are no deer on the island) all the way to St-John's. Hotels, meals, etc. all part of the price.
It was a marvelous way to see the island, and even Labrador! The folks on the tour tended on the older side, with the average maybe... 70? My wife and I were among the youngest.
Anyway, the trip was amazing, the accommodations good, and the food was delish. I think I managed to eat cod at least once per day while I was there.
